The Leitner Trio concert was a great success. We had a large, appreciative audience which gave us a standing ovation! Genevieve's guitar solos were amazing. Cecilia's singing was so beautiful that half the audience was crying. All the music was fun and enjoyable, for the audience and us too!

Genevieve Leitner, guitar, Cecilia Leitner, soprano and Ellen Leitner, violin will present music of J.S. Bach, Joaquin Rodrigo for guitar, solo violin by Georg Philip Telemann, a guitar and violin duo by Fernando Carulli, and traditional Christmas carols from Spain and Latin America.

Time to sign up for Spring lessons at Santa Cecilia Music Studio!
We've got such a peaceful location in the center of Santa Fe, and we know you'd enjoy having lessons there. Call to make an appointment to have a trial lesson and ask any questions you may have.

Genevieve Leitner will present a solo guitar concert on November 14th, 2010 at 6:00PM at Loretto Chapel in Santa Fe, NM. Her program will include music which spans five centuries. Genevieve is a graduate of University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and a winner of several competitions. She has a captivating style, and her performances are always a pleasure to hear. Admission by donation, suggested $20.

I'll be joining the San Juan Symphony for a concert on October 10th at 3PM. The guest solo clarinetist is Albert Fiterstein. See my Calendar for program information, or go to their website, http://www.sanjuansymphony.com/.

Duo Guadalupe, invited by the El Morro Arts Council, will play a concert at the Old School Gallery in Ramah, NM. Please go to the calendar for details!

The music studio in Santa Fe , 621 Old Santa Fe Trail, is open and ready for students.

We still have openings for a few students, and are offering individual as well as small group lessons. Come have an introductory lesson and sign up now for summer lessons!

Cecilia Leitner, will be singing as soprano soloist with the SANTA FE COMMUNITY ORCHESTRA AT 7PM FRIDAY APRIL 23, 2010 at St. Francis Cathedral Basilica in Santa Fe. The "Creation" by Haydn will be sung in English, with choir and Soprano, Tenor, and Baritone soloists.

This will be Cecilia's first performance in NM since she received her Master's Degree in Vocal Performance from Yale University last May. I hope you can come if you are in Santa Fe or nearby! It's free, so come on time!

Then RENEE GREGORIO (poet, cofounder Tres Chicas Books) will read from new poetry collection Drenched.

Cecilia Leitner will be performing her second year graduate recital on January 23, 2009 at 5:00 PM at Sprague Hall on the campus of Yale University.
The concert will include music of Vivaldi, Monteclair, Turina, and Wolf.

I've been teaching violin class at Northern New Mexico College in Espanola this fall.
Spring semester will include more classes, including violin class, Applied Music/Violin (private lessons), Jazz violin, and Ensemble.

I will be teaching ensemble classes at Northern New Mexico College next semester, as well as more violin classes. But the classes will only take place if enough students register. Come and play music, have fun and get college credit! Let your friends and family know!

In addition to my violin class, I'm trying to get an ensemble class for next term at NNMC, so PLEASE, if you're interested in having fun playing with others and learning ensemble, keep an eye out for it, and SIGN UP!
